hello ..

yes house rabbits will learn to use a litter tray .. neutered rabbits learn better than uneutered ones . We put wood based cat litter in trays with hay on top (never use clumping litter)

As for what they would sleep in ... this depends on what you want /what space you have/ how the rabbit will fit in with your family life ..etc .

my house buns live in a converted under stairs cupboard . we took off the door and put on a baby gate (covered in mesh so they couldnt get their heads through) They are in there through the day for their own safety as i childmind through the day and then they come out evenings and weekends .

Some people have plastic bottomed cages and some people use dog crates . You should be looking at a cage as big as possible . usualy at least 140cms long and around 60cm wide minimum . the cage should be high enough for the rabbit to stretch comfortably upwards .

Some people dont use cages at all and have completly free range all the time .. perhaps bunny proofing one room where the rabbit can go safely when not supervised .

hope this helps

Angie
