Rehoming of the returned Akita X pup

Post by Westhall7 on Sat Aug 21, 2010 4:26 pm

Just to let everyone know that I saw the Akita Cross pup that had been returned to us from Rawmarsh with his new owner down at Beech House Vets today. He was looking good and I had a long chat with his new owner who obviously thinks the world of him. He has now got a permanent home, and has no other dogs to live with, which he obviously prefers. I am referring of course to Archie, he is on the gallery as being rehomed.

The fact that Archie is such a good pup is all down to the work of Mrs Julie Drabble for all those days and sleepless nights she spent ensuring that all the 8 Akita x pups were well behaved and socialised pups before going off to their new homes

Well done Julie x

Hi everyone,
Archie was our dog originally. We all miss him terribly, the house is so much quieter now (even though we have another two dogs). Handing Archie back was the hardest thing i've ever had to do, but unfortunately we had no choice. Its been a few months now but i still have dreams about him and wake up looking for him. He is such a special dog.
I met the new owners before he left barc and they couldnt have found anyone better for him. My mum and dad saw him at Wentworth Garden centre about a week ago and they said he looked happy and healthy which is fantastic news. Thankyou to Darren and his family for giving Archie the wonderful home he deserves (he needed to be the only dog in the family - we know that now). My other pup Buddy (or Chewbacca to everyone who knew him at barc!!) is doing really well but has put weight on now he doesnt have Archie to run around in the fields with. At least we know Archie is happy, which is the main thing.
