Holiday recommendation

Post by Lisa on Tue Jun 10, 2008 1:04 pm

Hello all. We just came back from a great holiday so I thought I’d share the recommendation with you. We stayed in West Wales between Cardigan and Aberystwyth. The great thing was the cottage. It was about 100yds to walk to a gorgeous and dog friendly beach, and just across the road was Llanina Woods which was also great for dogs. Very dog friendly cottage and good for kids too. Lovely owners next door. The website is http://www.westwales-cottages.com/mulberry.htm. Do check it out.

Its always good to hear about new dog friendly places. Good ones can often be difficult to find so if anyone has any great recommendations please post them here!

I just found the names of 2 other cottages we stayed at which were really nice.
Slad Farm at Corse Lawn near Tewkesbury
Newton East Farm near Wolfs Castle in Pembrokeshire
I don’t have the website addresses but you’ll pick them up from a search.
Does anyone know of a good dog friendly place in the Lake District?

Hi Lisa 2,
A website i've come across is http://www.welcomecottages.com there's loads on there and all with good photo's too, i haven't checked out the prices though.
But apparently and i didn't know this but dogs can stay a Travel lodges at a cost of £10 per dog per stay, which is quite handy to know if your only wanting an overnighter.
How is Alfie doing by the way, is he being a good boy or just sometimes?

That's useful to know, I wasn't aware of that either. I also use the AA website if I want to splurge on a really nice hotel as you can search for 'pets allowed'.
Alfie is improving all the time. Still a bouncy beardie but much less of that really OTT behaviour that we had. Of course, he still has his 'moments' but I think he's growing up nicely now. Made the mistake of taking him to a grooming parlour last week. Great result overall except they decided to clip around his paws so now they look really out of proportion to the rest of him!!! Oops.

Hi lisa 2,
if you go into the general section and look down the titles, you'll see 'Here's how to post a picture'
it's a step by step guide and very easy to do but time consuming at first. Warley did these step by step instructions and believe me if can do it, you can too!

Right, well I'll have another go later. I can't wait untill Alfie gets his full 'grown-up' coat. I saw his cousin and he was amazing!!
