On Wednesday Sarah and myself went to do Eddie's home check - needless to say it passed and Eddie went on his merry way yesterday all happy and waggy and a different dog altogether. The young boy where Eddie is going to live was so excited i thought he was going to burst, he was telling us all about what routine he had for Eddie, showed us his bed and even offered to show us his bedroom where Eddie will be allowed to sleep in time, fingers crossed this was a lovely home for Eddie.

Matthew loved Trilbie and Trilb was very gentle with him, enjoying every minute of the fuss Matthew gave him.

this poor little boy was forgotten and left in a shed for around a week after his owner was sent to prison . Luckily someone then remembered he was there.

He is terribly underweight and has a terrible scab on his back, he is wet through with wee and smells awful .

poor little love is now tucked up with plenty of food in one of my nice clean , warm hutches ...bless him

This is Angelica ..

she arrived as a stray and had a horrific injury to her back leg . Her bones were shattered and the leg had developed an abcess.

She was a very very poorly bunny .

Her only chance of survival was to amputate her back leg .. not an easy op as we guessed her age was only around 8 weeks old ..

But this bunny is a star ... she pulled through the op and is learning to get around on 3 legs . She can run and binky like any other bunny and is making a fabulous recovery ...

Both cats are ok about being in the same room but if Snaggle gets within 3 ft of Pepper she'll hiss at Snaggle so he just backs of and leaves her alone. It's only been 24 hours so it's early days yet and we'r sure with a bit of patience and time that both cats will be friends once again

Currently we have a grey lop of 3 years, we purchased her as a baby from a garden centre she has been doctored, she has a 2 storey huch and the run of a secure garden when we are at home with plenty of grass to nibble on. Unfortunatley when we purchased her we were not advised to buy 2, this we realise now was a mistake, she is generally happy but we would love her to have a companion, however we are not sure if she ...

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room,

Hi again,

There have been so many adoptions in February that I am going to do 2 posts.

This first special doggy deserved a post all of his own.

EDDIE went to his new home on 27th February 2010

(If you want to read Eddie’s story it’s in the General section of this forum)

Goodbye little Eddie, we’ll miss your cuddles and waggy tail, come and see us sometime!!!

You’re a special boy who deserved a special home and you found it.

Archie and Coco had their annual boosters this week. Archie was very good (for him anyway) there was no snapping at the vet he just simply growled which is something he doesn't normally do. If he is going to have ya then you are not given the courtesy of a growl he just goes for it! He was muzzled so there were no problems there and the vet showed him whose boss so I think he was grumbling more about the fact he couldn't do anything about it. Anyway both him and Coco are in very good health ...

Not forgetting our feline friends, here are some photos of the cats that were adopted in January 2010.

Lovely old HENRY found a foster home in January

ITSY and MITSY - these sweet little twins found a home together

Affectionate little THOMAS left us too.

And so did MIDNIGHT on 31st January.

Unfortunately as these little felines leave new ones arrive waiting for a forever home.

Hopefully next month I can fill my post with lots of pics as more will ...

Hi everyone,

For all those who don’t know me, my name’s Liz and I started helping BARC out dog walking in November last year.

First of all I’d like to take my hat off to everyone involved in BARC, as it says on the website they are a ‘determined’ group of people whose only interest is the welfare of the dogs, cats and other animals in their care.

I’ve been taking photos of the dogs and cats that have arrived at the kennels so I’ve decided to share them with you and at the same time tell you ...

Hi

Just an update on Joey, a great dane cross ( we think) whom we adopted from Wath Animal Centre in June,

He is coming on brilliantly, he has put on weight and has now got muscles in his legs. He has grown into a loving pet, who loves nothing more than running around the garden and especially the local football field chasing a ball. He is only a little timid of people now.
