Jinxed

Post by Drab on Tue Jul 22, 2008 9:52 pm

I've done it now, i mentioned the dreaded m word (mites) and this morning I was checking them over and Chocolate and Daisy look like they are starting with them, Mites are not contagious every guinea pig has them, but something can trigger them off, fortunately they aren't as big a deal as they use to be, a few baths in Sporal D and a pipette of Xeno 450 and the jobs a good un! (apart from the cost of the Shampoo and Xeno 450, but i always have some in.)
When one of our first piggies Tilly got mites it was a trip to the vets every week for about 6 weeks an injection.

Thank goodness for medical advances like that, sounds like it could have been a real pain. However thanks for mentioning it - i didnt even know it was a problem for Guinnea pigs. Is it a problem for rabbits too??
