Help needed for a baby bird

Sun Sep 05, 2010 9:02 pm by henry's mum

hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have been hand rearing a baby ring necked dove that was found weak and cold in the road gutter, risking getting run over or eaten by a passing cat/dog pale . There was no way i could climb the tree to put it back in the nest, and the idea was to feed it up and let it go (it had got some wing feathers, but barely any tail feathers so wasn't a fle...

Welcome to all our new members!

It seems we have been inundated with new members to the forum of late, albeit some of you seem a little shy and have yet to share your experiences!

Dont be afraid, you may be new, you may be unfamiliar with technology and/or with BARC but you share our joint love of animals and we want to hear your stories, experiences and ideas!

Anyone there until 7pm

Fri Aug 27, 2010 12:06 pm by bas

Hello,

My wife and I came down to the kennels last night early in the evening (a friend of a friend told us there is usually someone there until 7pm everyday - even though this is out of the 'official' viewing timetable). There was also another couple hanging around to look at dogs to adopt.
We asked the woman who works at the Boarding kennels and she said everyone now usually ...

However they have changed his name to Alfie, and he is expected to come to our dog show that we are running on 12th September at Wentworth Village Day. He has not...

Rehoming of the returned Akita X pup

Sat Aug 21, 2010 10:26 pm by Westhall7

Just to let everyone know that I saw the Akita Cross pup that had been returned to us from Rawmarsh with his new owner down at Beech House Vets today. He was looking good and I had a long chat with his new owner who obviously thinks the world of him. He has now got a permanent home, and has no other dogs to live with, which he obviously prefers. I am referring of course to Archie, he is on the ...

dog expert?

Wed Aug 25, 2010 11:14 am by Caroline

Can any one help? I need a dog expert that can assist with the court case against Harvey. We went to court today and they cannot decide if the mark on the girls leg is a bite or a scratch from claws. I have seen the photo of the mark and you can plainly see that it is a claw mark. When I pointed out that the mark is so small it could not have been made by Harveys masive jaws, the solicitor says th...

This forum is so uninspiring lately

Wed Aug 11, 2010 7:43 am by Libby7

Hi there,

I must express I think that over the last couple of months the news, and lack of it, has made this forum so uninspiring.

Before there were posts about puppies being rescued and hand reared, a long story about one of BARC's long termers finding a new home and how her adopter coped, every month there were posts about all the dogs and cats that had been adopted, it...
